About Kiasu Guide

Kiasu Guide is an independent website run by a Singapore resident. It started from a simple frustration: shopping for home appliances here means wading through marketing claims, sponsored reviews and overseas advice that doesn't fit our humid, high-rise living.

Our goal is plain and practical: help fellow HDB and condo dwellers choose everyday products — dehumidifiers, air purifiers, water filters and more — without the fluff. We focus on the things that actually matter day to day: the right size for your room, running costs, noise, and whether something is worth the money.

How we keep it honest

• We're not owned by, nor affiliated with, any brand or retailer.
• We write general, evergreen guidance and avoid quoting prices or specs that quickly go out of date.
• Some links are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure for details.

A note on advice

This site shares general information to help you shop with confidence. It isn't professional, medical or safety advice — always follow the manufacturer's instructions for any appliance you buy.

Spotted something that's out of date or unclear? We'd love to hear about it so we can fix it.
