Best Dehumidifiers in Singapore on Shopee (2026): 3 Picks from a Wardrobe Mini to a 30 L Inverter
A kiasu, research-based shortlist of 3 dehumidifiers on Shopee Singapore — Mistral MDH012, Novita ND298 and LG MD19GQGA1 — with the L/day test-condition trap, running cost per litre, missing drain hoses, SAFETY Mark and Climate Voucher catches, and when aircon dry mode is enough. Prices last checked 28 Oct 2026.
Updated 28 October 2026
Third rainy day in a row. The work shirt on the rack is still damp, the wardrobe smells like an old cupboard, and Shopee is full of "powerful dehumidifiers" from S$30 to S$700. Some say 12 L, some say 30 L, some say "up to 320 ml". So Kiasu Ah Huat — our (fictional) everyday Singaporean who reads every line of small print so you don't kena con — went through the brands' official pages, Singapore reviews, NEA, the Consumer Product Safety Office (CPSO) and the Shopee listings themselves to build a short list of three.
Ah Huat's Kiasu Tip: Honest disclosure first, lah. This page has affiliate links to Shopee. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It doesn't change which models we picked — and where another shop looks cheaper, we tell you, even if we earn nothing from it.
Paiseh, important: this roundup is research-based, not hands-on — we haven't used these dehumidifiers ourselves. It's built from the brands' published specs and manuals, Singapore reviews (HardwareZone, CNA, CanBuyOrNot), HouseFresh's category testing, NEA and CPSO sources and the Shopee listings. We don't give star ratings or "test results", because we didn't do any tests. Where a brand doesn't publish a figure (Novita gives no noise figure, for example), we say "not published". Prices and listing details were last checked 28 Oct 2026 (SGT) and change often — always check the current price before you check out.

How we picked
The short version. We only shortlisted models that:
- publish a rated removal figure (and, for the compressor picks, the test condition behind it) plus rated watts;
- were on Shopee Mall from the brand's or distributor's official store when we checked on 28 Oct 2026;
- cover what people actually ask about: a cheap box for a damp wardrobe, a 12 L unit for one bedroom, and a bigger inverter model for a living room or indoor laundry.
New to capacity, compressor vs desiccant, laundry mode or drainage? Ah Huat already covered it in his guide to choosing a dehumidifier. Fighting black spots already? Read Mould at Home in Singapore first.
The 3 picks at a glance
| Model | Type | Rated removal (test condition) | Power | Cost per 8 h session* | Tank / drain | Noise (as published) | Laundry mode | App | Price seen on Shopee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mistral MDH012 | Mini tabletop (appears to be thermo-electric) | Up to 320 ml/day (no condition given) | 33.25 W | ≈8¢ | 1.2 L, auto-off; no drain | 41 dBA | No (manual says not for laundry rooms) | No | S$99.00 |
| Novita ND298 | Compressor | 12 L/day at 30°C / 80% | 165 W (27°C/60%) / 230 W max | ≈41–57¢ | 2.6 L + continuous drain | Not published | Not listed | No | S$280.00–S$325.60 (by variant) |
| LG MD19GQGA1 | Dual-inverter compressor | 30 L/day at 30°C / 80%; 19 L/day at 26.7°C / 60% | 0.28 kWh/h Smart, 0.34 kWh/h Laundry (HWZ measured) | ≈70¢ Smart / ≈85¢ Laundry | 5.3 L + drain port (hose not included) | 33 dB silent / 39 dB normal | Yes | Yes (ThinQ) | S$629.53, or S$597.08 after shop voucher* |
Per litre of water removed, the compressor picks are far cheaper to run: about 14¢ per litre for the Novita (230 W, 12 L/day) versus about 78¢ per litre for the Mistral mini (33.25 W, 320 ml/day). The mini is only "cheap" because it removes so little. Kiasu caveat: these mix rated watts and rated L/day that weren't always measured at the same condition, so treat them as rough.

1. Mistral MDH012 1.2 L Tabletop Dehumidifier — wardrobe and shoe cabinet only
Let's be very clear: this is not a room dehumidifier. Per mayer.sg and its spec sheet, the MDH012 removes "up to 320 ml" a day, "depending on humidity" — with no test condition. It's rated 33.25 W (via a 9 V adaptor), 41 dBA, has a 1.2 L tank that switches off when full, weighs 1.3 kg and measures 137 × 137 × 258 mm. Mayer quotes a coverage of 5–30 m³ — that's a volume, like a cabinet or walk-in wardrobe, not floor area.
Mayer never says "Peltier", but the manual's parts list (a "dehumidification module", a DC fan and a 9 V adaptor, no compressor) suggests it's a thermo-electric (Peltier-type) mini. HouseFresh, which tests dehumidifiers, calls Peltier units "too weak" for rooms and a "waste of your money" there; it advises avoiding Peltier designs that measure in "500-1000ml". Fine for a shoe cabinet or wardrobe; useless for a bedroom. The manual also warns it may freeze below 15°C and excludes laundry rooms.
At 33.25 W, an 8-hour session costs about 8 cents at the current SP tariff — but remember the 78¢-per-litre maths above.
Kiasu catches on the Shopee listing (Mayer Official Store, Shopee Mall):
- Shopee is dearer here. The listing was S$99.00 (was S$169). On the same day mayer.sg showed S$69 (was S$169). Check mayer.sg first.
- Pre-order. Delivery was shown as 5–6 Nov.
- Warranty conflict on the listing. The warranty field says "No Warranty", but the description says 1 year (mayer.sg also says 1 year). Ask the seller and screenshot the answer.
- SAFETY Mark on the adaptor. The listing and Mayer's spec sheet print 251174-11 for the adaptor — that's what should carry a mark (see below). We didn't verify the number on the register.
- No independent review. mayer.sg had six owner reviews, one of them a 1-star "spoilt item".

Wardrobe and shoe cabinet only
Mistral 1.2L Tabletop Dehumidifier MDH012 (beige / grey)
S$99.00 — seen on Shopee 28 Oct 2026, check current price. Cheaper on mayer.sg: S$69 (was S$169).
- Seller: Mayer Official Store (Shopee Mall); pre-order, delivery shown 5–6 Nov
- Warranty: listing field says "No Warranty" but the description says 1 year — confirm with the seller
- SAFETY Mark on the listing: 251174-11, for the adaptor — check the mark on the adaptor
- Up to 320 ml/day: for wardrobes and shoe cabinets, not rooms
Pros
- 33.25 W: about 8¢ per 8-hour session
- Small, light (1.3 kg) and 41 dBA
- Auto-off when the 1.2 L tank is full
- Adaptor SAFETY Mark printed on Mayer's spec sheet
Cons
- Removes only up to 320 ml/day — about 78¢ per litre
- S$30 cheaper on mayer.sg
- Not for laundry rooms; may freeze below 15°C (manual)
- No humidistat, no drain, no independent review
2. Novita ND298 12 L Dehumidifier — best for one bedroom
The plain, honest workhorse from a Singapore brand. Per Novita, the ND298 is a compressor dehumidifier rated 12 L/day at 30°C / 80%, drawing 165 W (at 27°C / 60%) and 230 W max, with a 2.6 L tank plus continuous drainage, humidity control, a timer, a child lock and an ioniser. It weighs 11.4 kg and Novita says it covers 28 m² (HardwareZone quotes 32 m² — the brand's figure is the safer one to plan with). The Straits Times/HardwareZone buying guide suggests about 12 L for one room and 15–20 L for a living room, so this is a bedroom-or-study unit.
Running cost: about 41–57 cents per 8-hour session at the current tariff, or roughly 14 cents per litre removed — and less in practice once it reaches the target humidity and cycles off.
The closest thing to a long-term owner review: a CNA 8days writer has used one since 2024. Her verdict: "bare minimum" but it works; she empties it every few days, daily when it rains; no app and no wheels.
The Shopee listing is the novita Official Store (Shopee Mall), at S$280.00–S$325.60 depending on the variant (the dearer variants add filter packs; "any 2 enjoy $60 off" was showing). That matches Novita's own estore, S$280 (was S$429; twin pack S$500). Kiasu catches:
- No noise figure. Novita publishes no dB rating. If it's for a bedroom, you're trusting owner reviews.
- No laundry mode listed — it'll still dry the air in a laundry room, but there's no dedicated mode.
- Drain hose: Novita lists continuous drainage; the Shopee listing doesn't say whether a hose is in the box. Ask.
- SAFETY Mark field says "NA". Not a red flag by itself — a dehumidifier isn't a Controlled Good — but its 3-pin plug should carry a mark. Check when it arrives (see below).
- Refrigerant R134a, which has a much higher global-warming potential than the R290 some newer units use (US EPA data), but isn't flammable.

Best for one bedroom
Novita Dehumidifier ND298 (12 L/day)
S$280.00–S$325.60 depending on variant — seen on Shopee 28 Oct 2026, check current price. Novita's estore listed S$280 (was S$429).
- Seller: novita Official Store (Shopee Mall)
- Warranty: 3 years, per the listing
- SAFETY Mark field on the listing: "NA" — check the mark on the plug
- Plug type and drain hose not stated on the listing
Pros
- 12 L/day at 30°C/80% — about 14¢ per litre removed
- Continuous drainage, humidity control, timer, child lock
- Same price as Novita's own estore
- Used by a CNA writer since 2024
Cons
- No published dB figure
- Small 2.6 L tank; no wheels, no app
- No laundry mode listed
- R134a refrigerant
3. LG MD19GQGA1 30 L PuriCare Dual Inverter — best for big rooms and indoor laundry
If you dry laundry indoors or want one unit for a living room, this is the premium pick. Per LG Singapore, it's a dual-inverter compressor model rated 30 L/day at 30°C / 80% — or 19 L/day at 26.7°C / 60% (same machine, different test condition; more on that below). It has Laundry Dry mode, the ThinQ Wi-Fi app with an energy report, humidity in 5% steps, an ioniser, castors and a "Spot" feature with shoe and closet hoses. Noise is 33 dB on silent, 39 dB on normal, and LG gives a 10-year compressor warranty. It's big: 16.7 kg, 415 × 685 × 296 mm. LG claims coverage of 76 m²; PassionAir says 29–44 m² — plan with the smaller number.
HardwareZone gave it 9/10: it took a friend's flat from 70% to 40% relative humidity in 2–3 hours, and HWZ measured 0.28 kWh per hour in Smart mode (0.34 in Laundry) — about 70 cents per 8 hours — with a real January total of 23.35 kWh, roughly S$7.28 for the month at today's tariff for HWZ's use. Cons from HWZ: big, heavy, pricey, and pull the tank out carefully. CanBuyOrNot (an LG-supplied unit) saw an HDB toilet go from 75% to 50% in 15 minutes, but noted the room warmed by 1–3°C.

Kiasu catches on the Shopee listing (LG Singapore Official Store, Shopee Mall):
- Price: S$629.53, or S$597.08 after a shop voucher. The only other price we could confirm was S$699 at PassionAir, which was out of stock — so Shopee looked like the cheaper option on the day, but voucher prices change.
- Pre-order. Fulfilment was shown from 2 Nov 2026 (ships within 30 days).
- Continuous drain hose NOT included. The listing says the Y/T Spot hoses are included, but you'll need to buy a 16 mm (inner diameter, per HWZ) hose to drain it continuously.
- "30 L" is not the tank. The tank is 5.3 L; 30 L is daily removal at 30°C/80%.
- Warranty: 12 months on the unit plus 10 years on the compressor, per the listing.
- SAFETY Mark on the listing: 131912-12 — what the seller typed in; it doesn't say which part it covers. Check the plug.

- 33 dB silent; HardwareZone 9/10
- 10-year compressor warranty
Cons
- Drain hose not included
- 16.7 kg and tall
- Pre-order; voucher price may change
- Blows warm air: room warmed 1–3°C in one review
Also considered (no links)
- Xiaomi Smart Dehumidifier Lite (DM-CS13BFA5B). A good budget compressor unit on paper: 13 L/day at 30°C/80% from 190 W, 3 L tank plus a 1 m drain hose, app control, and HouseFresh tested it for over three months with "good results". But Xiaomi's own spec also gives about 7 L/day at 27°C/60%, FairPrice's listing (S$195, sold by Xiaomi Official Store) was out of stock, and the only Shopee listing we found was a different, smaller model (3 L/4.5 L tank). Not a pick until the 13 L model is actually buyable.
- De'Longhi Tasciugo AriaDry Light DNS65 (desiccant). S$499 at De'Longhi SG and Best Denki; we found it not on Shopee. It's light (6.5 kg), quiet (34 dB(A) minimum), has a laundry function and works down to 1°C (per a De'Longhi product sheet). But it draws 520 W for about 6 L/day (at 32°C/80%): about S$1.30 per 8 hours, or about 65 cents per litre removed — four to five times the Novita. Who desiccant suits: people who want a light, quiet unit for a cold, heavily air-conditioned room, or who live somewhere cold. (That's our inference from its 1°C operating range.) For most warm, humid Singapore flats, a compressor unit removes more water for less electricity.
Which one for you?
- Damp wardrobe, shoe cabinet or small store cupboard: Mistral MDH012 — but buy it on mayer.sg if it's still S$30 cheaper, and never expect it to dry a room.
- One bedroom or study without aircon: Novita ND298 — 12 L/day, cheap per litre, continuous drain. Accept that it's basic.
- Living room, big flat or drying laundry indoors: LG MD19GQGA1 — and buy a 16 mm drain hose at the same time.
- Your aircon is already on in that room? You may not need a dehumidifier at all. See aircon dry mode below.
Ah Huat's Kiasu Tip: Screenshot the listing — price, variant, warranty line, SAFETY Mark field and "what's in the box" — before you pay. If anything goes wrong, you got proof. Kiasu, but shiok when you need it.
Dehumidifier vs aircon dry mode
Your aircon already removes moisture. Per Daikin Singapore, Dry mode draws in humid air, dries it at the evaporator and "will not blow out a lot of cool air" — ideal when "it isn't too hot, but the humidity is becoming unbearable". Daikin's own explainer puts it simply: choose Cool when the problem is heat, Dry when it's stickiness — and the water drains outside, so there's no tank to empty.
A dehumidifier works the other way round: it blows out warm air. The Straits Times/HardwareZone guide says a dehumidifier "cannot replace your aircon"; CanBuyOrNot measured the LG warming a room by 1–3°C.
So, Ah Huat's rule: aircon already on? Its cool or dry mode is drying the room — you may not need a dehumidifier there. A dehumidifier earns its keep in rooms without aircon, in the store room or wardrobe area, for indoor laundry on rainy days, and when the aircon is off. Running both in one room? Only if it's still clammy with the aircon on.
How to choose: the spec traps
- Test condition decides the L/day. The same LG is 30 L/day at 30°C/80% but 19 L/day at 26.7°C/60%. The Xiaomi Lite is 13 L at 30°C/80% but about 7 L at 27°C/60%. De'Longhi rates at 32°C/80%; the Mistral mini gives no condition at all. Only compare L/day at the same condition.
- "30L" is not the tank. It's daily removal. The LG's tank is 5.3 L.
- Mini boxes remove millilitres, not litres. 320 ml/day is about one cup. For a room, you need a compressor unit (the ST/HWZ guide suggests about 12 L for one room, 15–20 L for a living room).
- Mini units hate cold and laundry. The MDH012 manual says it may freeze below 15°C and isn't for laundry rooms.
- Desiccant = more watts in our heat. 520 W for 6 L/day is about 65¢ per litre; our compressor picks are about 14¢ per litre (Novita).
- Drain hose not always in the box. The LG needs a 16 mm hose bought separately; ask the Novita seller too.
- No dB figure ≠ quiet. Novita publishes none, so for a bedroom rely on owner reviews.
- Room-size claims vary wildly. LG 76 m² vs PassionAir 29–44 m² for the same unit. HouseFresh adds that there's no benefit to oversizing — compare efficiency instead.
- Running cost formula: W ÷ 1,000 × hours × S$0.3116 (SP tariff, 1 Oct–31 Dec 2026). Compressor units cycle off at the target humidity, so "24 hours flat out" is a worst case.
Before you check out: SAFETY Mark, plug, label and vouchers
- The dehumidifier itself isn't a Controlled Good — but its plug and adaptor are. CPSO's information booklet (updated 24 June 2026) lists "Dehumidifier" among its examples of Non-Controlled Goods, so the appliance doesn't need a SAFETY Mark. But the same booklet lists 3-pin mains plugs and AC adaptors as Controlled Goods, so the plug (and a mini unit's adaptor) should carry one. The numbers on Shopee listings are what the seller typed in, and we couldn't check them on the register ourselves: Mistral 251174-11 (adaptor), LG 131912-12, Novita "NA". When the unit arrives, check the mark on the plug/adaptor and look it up at go.gov.sg/safety-mark.
- Plug: CPSO "recommends looking out for those with 13A Type G plugs for most electrical appliances" (the Singapore 3-pin). None of the three listings state the plug type — check the photos or ask the seller, and avoid 2-pin plugs on travel adaptors.
- No NEA tick label. Dehumidifiers aren't on NEA's energy-labelling list, so compare watts and litres per day at the same test condition yourself.
- No Climate Vouchers for dehumidifiers. The official list of eligible products (last updated 13 Jul 2026) has 12 product types — aircons, DC fans, refrigerators, clothes dryers, washing machines, LED lights and so on — but no dehumidifier. Don't plan your budget around vouchers for this one.
- What NEA says. NEA's indoor air quality measures for high relative humidity are to "identify sources and causes of moisture or dampness" and "deploy dehumidifiers at locations with high humidity" (and to service the aircon). That guidance is written for youth facilities, not homes, but the order makes sense anywhere: find the water first, then dry the air. The US EPA's target is below 60%, ideally 30–50%.

Shopee isn't always the cheapest. Prices we saw on 28 Oct 2026 at the brand or Singapore retailers (no affiliate links here):
- Mistral MDH012: mayer.sg S$69 (was S$169) — S$30 less than Shopee.
- Novita ND298: estore.novita.com.sg S$280 (was S$429); twin pack S$500.
- LG MD19GQGA1: PassionAir S$699, out of stock.
FAQ
Do I need a dehumidifier if I have aircon?
Not in a room where the aircon is already running — its cool or dry mode dries the air, and the water drains outside. A dehumidifier is for rooms without aircon, wardrobes and store rooms, indoor laundry, and when the aircon is off. It blows out warm air, so it won't cool the room.
What size dehumidifier do I need?
For one bedroom, about 12 L/day (at 30°C/80%) is the usual guide; for a living room or indoor laundry, 15–20 L or more. A 320 ml mini is for a wardrobe or shoe cabinet only. Always compare L/day at the same test condition.
How much does a dehumidifier cost to run?
At 31.16 c/kWh: about 8¢ per 8 hours for the Mistral mini, 41–57¢ for the Novita, and about 70¢ (Smart) to 85¢ (Laundry) for the LG based on HardwareZone's measurement. Compressor units cycle off at the target humidity, so real costs are usually lower. Per litre removed, compressor units are much cheaper than minis or desiccant units.
Can I use Climate Vouchers on a dehumidifier?
No. Dehumidifiers aren't on the official eligible-product list (last updated 13 Jul 2026).
Does a dehumidifier need a SAFETY Mark?
The appliance itself is listed by CPSO as a Non-Controlled Good. Its 3-pin plug and any AC adaptor are Controlled Goods and should carry a SAFETY Mark — check them when the unit arrives.
Can I put a dehumidifier in the bathroom?
Sources disagree. HouseFresh advises against it (electrical risk — ventilate instead), while Xiaomi markets its Lite model for bathrooms. Keep the unit outside the wet area and follow your model's manual.
Why isn't the Xiaomi or De'Longhi a pick?
The Xiaomi 13 L model was out of stock at FairPrice and Shopee only had a different, smaller model. The De'Longhi is sold at De'Longhi SG and Best Denki, not Shopee, and costs about 65¢ per litre to run in our heat. See above.
Quick kiasu checklist
- Decide where it goes: wardrobe (mini), one room (about 12 L) or living room / laundry (bigger).
- Is the aircon already on there? Try dry mode first.
- Compare L/day at the same test condition, plus watts — not "30L" on the box.
- Check what's in the box: drain hose, tank size, laundry mode.
- When it arrives, check the SAFETY Mark on the plug/adaptor and look it up on go.gov.sg/safety-mark.
- Confirm the warranty with the seller (the Mistral listing contradicts itself), and screenshot it.
- Compare the Shopee price with mayer.sg, Novita's estore and other retailers before you tap "Buy now". No Climate Vouchers for this one.
