Best Fans and Air Coolers in Singapore on Shopee (2026): 4 Picks from a S$96 DC Stand Fan to an Air Circulator
A kiasu, research-based shortlist of 4 DC fans and air coolers on Shopee Singapore — Mistral MSF1610DR, KDK HN30S, Vornado 6303DC and EuropAce ECO3451D — with watts, running cost per night, warranty conflicts, SAFETY Mark and Climate Voucher catches, and an honest look at air coolers in our humidity. Prices last checked 28 Oct 2026.
Updated 28 October 2026
The aircon bill came, Ah Huat pengsan, and now the whole family wants "a good fan". Open Shopee and wah — DC fans, "air circulators", "3-in-1 air coolers", 12 speeds, 24 speeds, 99 speeds, all "hot deal". So Kiasu Ah Huat — our (fictional) everyday Singaporean who reads every line of small print so you don't kena con — went through the brands' official pages, Singapore retailers, NEA, the Consumer Product Safety Office (CPSO) and the Shopee listings themselves to build a short list of four.
Ah Huat's Kiasu Tip: Honest disclosure first, lah. This page has affiliate links to Shopee. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It doesn't change which models we picked — and where another shop looks cheaper, we tell you, even if we earn nothing from it.
Paiseh, important: this roundup is research-based, not hands-on — we haven't used these fans or this air cooler ourselves. It's built from the brands' published specs, Singapore retailer pages, NEA and CPSO sources and the Shopee listings. We don't give star ratings or "test results", because we didn't do any tests. Three of the four brands publish no noise (dB) figure for these models, so where you'd expect one, we say "not published". Prices and listing details were last checked 28 Oct 2026 (SGT) and change often — always check the current price before you check out.

How we picked
The short version. We only shortlisted models that:
- are DC (direct current) models with rated watts published by the brand (one exception, flagged: the Vornado's watts come from Vornado's US spec table);
- come with a warranty stated by the brand or a Singapore retailer;
- were on Shopee Mall from the brand's official store or a Mall seller when we checked on 28 Oct 2026;
- cover what people actually ask about: a cheap 16" stand fan, a quiet-ish compact bedroom fan, an air circulator that moves air across a room, and an honest air cooler.
New to fan types, the SAFETY Mark, ceiling fans, or why air coolers struggle in Singapore? Ah Huat already covered all of it in his guide to choosing a fan or air cooler. Want the full fan vs air cooler vs aircon running-cost maths? Read Fan vs Air Cooler vs Aircon first.
The 4 picks at a glance
| Model | Type | Rated watts | Cost per 8 h night* | Airflow (as published) | Oscillation | Timer | Warranty | Price seen on Shopee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mistral MSF1610DR | 16" DC stand fan | 30 W | ≈7.5¢ | 43 m³/min | Left-right | 7 h | 2 years + 8 years motor (mayer.sg) | S$96.00* |
| KDK HN30S | 30 cm (12") DC stand fan, dual blades | 20 W (at max) | ≈5¢ | 27 m³/min | Yes | Yes (length not stated by KDK) | 12 months (kdk.sg) vs 24 months (Harvey Norman) — conflict | S$166.00 |
| Vornado 6303DC | DC air circulator | 48 W high / 2 W low (Vornado US spec) | ≈12¢ on high | 1,051 CFM on high (US spec) | Not listed (tilt) | 1–12 h | 5 years claimed (vornadosg.com); listing conflicts | S$271.00 |
| EuropAce ECO3451D | 4.5 L evaporative DC air cooler | 24 W | ≈6¢ | 720 m³/h | Not stated | 12 h | 2 years full + 3 years motor (EuropAce) | S$199.00 |
Noise: not published for the Mistral, KDK and EuropAce. Vornado's US table gives 59/51/40 dBA but no measuring distance — so don't compare it with anything.
Product images: from the official brand websites of Mistral (mayer.sg), KDK, Vornado and EuropAce, shown for identification only.
1. Mistral MSF1610DR 16" DC Stand Fan — best budget pick
The cheapest credible DC stand fan we found. Per mayer.sg (Mayer Marketing is the company behind Mistral), the MSF1610DR is a 16" DC stand fan rated 30 W (24 VDC via an adaptor), with 43 m³/min airflow, 10 speeds, Natural / Sleep / Normal modes, a 7-hour timer, a remote, left-right oscillation and adjustable height. It measures L445 × W400 × H1340 mm and weighs 4.82 kg. The warranty is 2 years local + 8 years on the motor — the longest motor warranty of our four.
At 30 W, a full 8-hour night on max costs about 7.5 cents at the current SP tariff (about S$27 a year if you run it every night). On lower speeds, less.
The Shopee listing is the Mayer Official Store (Shopee Mall), at S$96.00 — but only after a voucher. Kiasu honesty: mayer.sg itself showed S$95 (was S$199) on the same day, and Gain City listed S$85. The black version was on backorder at mayer.sg. Two more catches:
- SAFETY Mark number differs between sites. The Shopee listing and mayer.sg show 250708-11; Gain City shows 240658-11. Check the mark on the fan or its adaptor when it arrives (see below).
- No independent review and no dB figure. We found one owner review on mayer.sg and nothing from an independent tester.

Best budget pick
Mistral 16" DC Stand Fan with Remote MSF1610DR
S$96.00 after voucher — seen on Shopee 28 Oct 2026, check current price. mayer.sg listed S$95 (was S$199) and Gain City S$85.
- Seller: Mayer Official Store (Shopee Mall)
- Warranty: 2 years + 8 years motor, per the listing and mayer.sg
- SAFETY Mark on the listing: 250708-11 (Gain City shows a different number) — check the mark on the fan/adaptor
- Plug type not stated on the listing (runs off an adaptor)
Pros
- Cheapest DC stand fan we found
- 30 W: about 7.5¢ per 8-hour night on max
- 43 m³/min, 10 speeds, 7 h timer, remote
- 8-year motor warranty
Cons
- Same price or cheaper on mayer.sg and at Gain City
- No published dB figure; no independent review
- SAFETY Mark number differs between sites
- Tall and 4.82 kg
2. KDK HN30S 30 cm DC Stand Fan — best compact bedroom fan
Small HDB bedroom, fan beside the bed? Per KDK Singapore, the HN30S is a 30 cm DC stand fan with dual blades (7 + 5) that detach for cleaning, 12 speeds, 3 modes, an ECO temperature sensor, an LED display and a magnetic remote. KDK rates it at 20 W — "tested under maximum level", per KDK's catalogue — the lowest of our four, so about 5 cents per 8-hour night on max. It's compact: 350 × 335 × 1015 mm, 3.5 kg.
The trade-off: a 12" head moves less air — 27 m³/min, versus 43 m³/min for the 16" Mistral. Fine beside a bed, not for blowing across a big living room.
The Shopee listing is the KDK Official Flagship Store (Shopee Mall), at S$166.00 — a touch below kdk.sg and Harvey Norman (both S$169). Shop vouchers were showing too. Other, non-Mall Shopee shops listed it for less; we didn't check those sellers. Kiasu catches:
- Warranty conflict. The listing and kdk.sg say 12 months; Harvey Norman's page says 24 months. Ask the seller before you pay and screenshot the answer.
- Timer length not stated by KDK (Harvey Norman says 4 hours — we couldn't confirm it).
- No dB figure and no independent review. Forum threads mention rattling on some newer KDK units, but that's anecdotal and not about this model specifically.
- Harvey Norman's page says it's eligible for Climate Vouchers — check the scheme yourself (see below).

Best compact bedroom fan
KDK HN30S 30cm DC Stand Fan with Magnetic Remote
S$166.00 — seen on Shopee 28 Oct 2026, check current price. kdk.sg and Harvey Norman listed S$169.
- Seller: KDK Official Flagship Store (Shopee Mall)
- Warranty: 12 months on the listing and kdk.sg; Harvey Norman says 24 months — confirm with the seller
- SAFETY Mark on the listing: 250252-24 — check the mark on the fan/adaptor
- Listing says UK/SG plug
Pros
- 20 W, the lowest of our picks: about 5¢ per night on max
- Detachable dual blades, easier to clean
- 12 speeds, ECO temperature sensor, magnetic remote
- Compact for HDB bedrooms
Cons
- Less airflow than a 16" fan (27 m³/min)
- Warranty length conflicts between sources
- Timer length not stated by KDK
- No published dB figure
3. Vornado 6303DC Air Circulator — best for moving air across a room
A circulator isn't a bedside fan. It pushes a column of air across the room so the whole space feels less stuffy — Vornado's US page says up to 85 ft. Per Vornado, the 6303DC has 99 speeds, a remote and a 1–12 hour timer, in a compact 31 × 21.5 × 37 cm body. Vornado's US spec table gives 48 W on high and just 2 W on low, with 1,051 CFM on high. Those are US figures — the Singapore spec isn't published. On high that's about 12 cents per 8-hour night; on low, well under 1 cent.

Kiasu catches:
- Shopee is pricier here. The listing (a Shopee Mall seller) was S$271.00. On the same day vornadosg.com showed S$239 (was S$469) and PowerPac S$249.
- Warranty is unclear on the listing. An image on the listing says 2 years, but the spec field says "No Warranty". vornadosg.com claims a 5-year local warranty. Ask the seller and screenshot the answer.
- Two companies say they're Vornado's Singapore distributor — vornadosg.com ("Authorised Distributor") and PowerPac ("Exclusive Authorized Distributor"). Keep your receipt and ask who services the warranty.
- No oscillation listed — it tilts. Point it where you want the air.
- Noise figures without a distance. Vornado's US table says 59/51/40 dBA (high/medium/low) but gives no measuring distance (QuietSpecs notes this too), so treat it as a rough guide only.

Best for moving air across a room
Vornado 6303DC Energy Smart Air Circulator (99 speeds, remote, timer)
S$271.00 — seen on Shopee 28 Oct 2026, check current price. Cheaper elsewhere: vornadosg.com S$239 and PowerPac S$249.
- Seller: Shopee Mall seller
- Warranty: listing conflicts (2 years in an image vs "No Warranty" in the spec field); vornadosg.com claims 5 years — confirm with the seller
- SAFETY Mark on the listing: 220510-11 — check the mark on the unit
- Listing says SG/UK 3-pin plug
Pros
- Moves air across a whole room
- Very low power on low (2 W, Vornado US spec)
- 99 speeds, remote, 1–12 h timer
- Compact: 31 × 21.5 × 37 cm
Cons
- Pricier on Shopee than vornadosg.com or PowerPac
- Warranty unclear on the listing; distributor dispute
- No oscillation listed (tilt only)
- Singapore watts and noise not published
4. EuropAce ECO3451D 4.5 L Air Cooler — the honest air cooler
If you must have an air cooler, at least get one that's cheap to run and useful as a plain fan too. Per EuropAce, the ECO3451D is a 4.5 L evaporative DC air cooler that also works as an air circulator and humidifier. It's rated 24 W (about 6 cents per 8-hour night), with 720 m³/h airflow, an 8 m air throw, 24 speeds, Normal / Natural / Sleep modes, an ioniser, a 12-hour timer and a remote. Slim and light: 263.9 × 210.6 × 644.4 mm, 3.3 kg. EuropAce gives 2 years full + 3 years on the motor (carry-in; 1 year for commercial use).
Now the honest part — and it comes from EuropAce itself. On its air-cooler page, the brand says that in humid Singapore it "works best where air moves freely, such as balconies, kitchens, open-concept living areas or an open window… In a sealed room it will not match an aircon, so treat it as a cooler fan to be used in airy spaces, not an aircon replacement." Its FAQ adds that ice helps only "briefly", that coolers "can add some moisture", and that you should empty and rinse the tank and wash the honeycomb filter to prevent mould. A Singapore owner of an older EuropAce model put it bluntly on Zit Seng's Blog: "The cooling effect is, honestly, not significant." (That was a different, 2014 model — a type-level view, not a test of this one.)
So: put it near an open window or in an airy living area, don't run it in a closed bedroom, and empty the tank when it's idle so it never becomes an Aedes home. Why air coolers struggle at our ~82% average humidity is in Ah Huat's guide.
On Shopee, the EuropAce Official Store (Shopee Mall) was S$199.00 — the same as europace.com.sg (was S$269). The listing shows a 24-month manufacturer warranty. Its SAFETY Mark field shows a long 13-digit number that doesn't look like the registration numbers on the other listings, so check the mark on the unit itself.

Honest air cooler — read the caveats
EuropAce 3-in-1 DC Air Circulator, Air Cooler & Humidifier ECO3451D (4.5 L)
S$199.00 — seen on Shopee 28 Oct 2026, check current price. europace.com.sg listed S$199 (was S$269).
- Seller: EuropAce Official Store (Shopee Mall)
- Warranty: 24 months on the listing; EuropAce says 2 years full + 3 years motor
- SAFETY Mark field doesn't look like a registration number — check the mark on the unit
- Plug type not stated on the listing
Pros
- 24 W: about 6¢ per 8-hour night
- Works as a plain fan with the water off
- 24 speeds, 12 h timer, remote, ioniser
- Slim and light (3.3 kg)
Cons
- Cools little in humid Singapore — EuropAce says it's not an aircon replacement
- Adds moisture: not for a closed bedroom
- Tank and filter need regular rinsing (mould, mosquitoes)
- No dB figure; no independent review
Also considered: Dyson Purifier Cool Gen1 TP10
Excellent, but premium. The Dyson Purifier Cool Gen1 TP10 is a bladeless fan with a HEPA H13 + carbon purifier and up to 350° oscillation, and TechRadar measured it as quiet. But it's S$599 on dyson.com.sg, plus a replacement filter (S$71.20, usually S$89) that Dyson says to change every 12 months — and it's sold on dyson.com.sg rather than Shopee: we found no Shopee listing for it, so it isn't one of our picks.
Which one for you?
- Tight budget, any bedroom or living room: Mistral MSF1610DR — but check mayer.sg and Gain City first; they were the same or cheaper.
- Small HDB bedroom, fan right beside the bed: KDK HN30S — lowest watts, detachable blades. Sort out the warranty with the seller.
- Stuffy living room, or you want air moving across the whole room: Vornado 6303DC — but compare with vornadosg.com and PowerPac, which were cheaper.
- Airy space near an open window, and you really want an air cooler: EuropAce ECO3451D — and expect a "cooler fan", not an aircon.
Ah Huat's Kiasu Tip: Screenshot the listing — price, variant (colour), warranty line and SAFETY Mark field — before you pay. If anything goes wrong, you got proof. Kiasu, but shiok when you need it.
How to choose: the spec traps
- Compare watts and airflow, not speed counts. 99 speeds (Vornado) or 24 speeds (EuropAce) doesn't mean more air. Look at m³/min, m³/h or CFM.
- Watts are maximum-speed figures. KDK says its catalogue watts are "tested under maximum level". Real use on a low speed draws less.
- Running cost is tiny. Formula: W ÷ 1,000 × hours × S$0.3116 (SP tariff, 1 Oct–31 Dec 2026). A 20–30 W DC fan costs about 5–7.5 cents for an 8-hour night. The full fan-vs-aircon comparison is in our running-cost guide.
- Never compare dB across brands. Most brands here publish none, and the ones that do don't say how they measured.
- US or Japan specs aren't Singapore specs. Vornado's watts and noise figures are from its US table; the Singapore figures aren't published.
Before you check out: SAFETY Mark, plug, label and vouchers
- Fans and air coolers need a SAFETY Mark. Both are on CPSO's list of Controlled Goods, and Controlled Goods must carry the SAFETY Mark to be sold in Singapore. The mark numbers on Shopee listings are what the seller typed in, and we couldn't check any of them on the register ourselves. When the fan arrives, check the mark on the fan/adaptor, and look the number up at go.gov.sg/safety-mark. Two listings need extra care: the Mistral's number differs between mayer.sg and Gain City, and the EuropAce's field doesn't look like a registration number. More on the SAFETY Mark in Ah Huat's guide.
- Plug: CPSO says it "recommends looking out for those with 13A Type G plugs for most electrical appliances" (the Singapore 3-pin). The KDK and Vornado listings say UK/SG plugs; the Mistral and EuropAce listings don't state the plug — check the photos or ask the seller.
- No NEA tick label. Fans and air coolers aren't on NEA's energy-labelling list, so compare rated watts yourself.
- Climate Vouchers cover DC fans. NEA's household sector page and its 2024 announcement list "direct current fans" among the energy-efficient products you can use Climate Vouchers on, and the vouchers are valid until 31 Dec 2027. Air coolers aren't a listed category. Kiasu caveat: we couldn't open the scheme's own website to check individual models, so confirm that the specific model and shop are eligible before you count on the vouchers. Harvey Norman's KDK HN30S page says it's eligible; we didn't confirm any of the Shopee listings above.

Shopee isn't always the cheapest. Prices we saw on 28 Oct 2026 at the brand or Singapore retailers (no affiliate links here):
- Mistral MSF1610DR: mayer.sg S$95 (was S$199); Gain City S$85.
- KDK HN30S: kdk.sg S$169; Harvey Norman S$169.
- Vornado 6303DC: vornadosg.com S$239 (was S$469); PowerPac S$249.
- EuropAce ECO3451D: europace.com.sg S$199 (was S$269).
FAQ
Can I use Climate Vouchers on these fans?
DC fans are on NEA's list of eligible product types, and the vouchers are valid until 31 Dec 2027. But we couldn't open the scheme's website to check models, so confirm the specific model and shop are eligible first. Air coolers aren't a listed category.
Is an air cooler worth it in Singapore?
Only in an airy spot. Even EuropAce says it's "not an aircon replacement" in humid Singapore and works best where air moves freely. In a closed bedroom it mostly adds moisture. If you're unsure, buy a DC fan and save the money.
How much does a DC fan cost to run?
Very little. At 31.16 c/kWh, our picks cost about 5–7.5 cents for an 8-hour night on max (the KDK, EuropAce and Mistral), or about 12 cents for the Vornado on high (US spec). Low speeds cost less.
Which one is the quietest?
We can't tell you, honestly. The Mistral, KDK and EuropAce publish no dB figure, and Vornado's US figure gives no measuring distance. Don't trust a "quietest" claim that isn't backed by a published, comparable test.
Why isn't the Dyson a pick?
It's excellent but premium (S$599, plus a yearly filter), and it's sold on dyson.com.sg rather than Shopee — we found no Shopee listing. See above.
Quick kiasu checklist
- Decide what you need: a bedside fan, a room fan, an air circulator, or (in an airy spot only) an air cooler.
- Compare rated watts and airflow, not speed counts or dB.
- Check the SAFETY Mark on the fan/adaptor when it arrives, and look it up on go.gov.sg/safety-mark — don't trust the listing field alone.
- Ask for a Type G 13A plug if the listing doesn't show one.
- Confirm the warranty length with the seller, and screenshot it.
- Planning to use Climate Vouchers? Confirm the model and shop are eligible.
- Compare the Shopee price with mayer.sg, kdk.sg, vornadosg.com, PowerPac or europace.com.sg before you tap "Buy now".
